I think it’s time for a Christmas Giveaway!

As I sit down to type up this blog, I’m trying to come to terms with the fact that it was three years ago this week when I decided I was going to become serious about my writing. ‘A Rock ‘n’ Roll Lovestyle’ had been languishing in a drawer for several years and, instead of being forgotten about, the story had continued to grow in my head over that time. It was reading the Author Bio of Christie Barlow at the end of her Christmas story, ‘Lizzie’s Christmas Escape’ which gave me the wellie-boot up the derrière I needed. Something about her story hit the spot and sparked up the determination to complete my book.

I will be completely honest here – at the time of the above decision, my focus was on finishing what I had started. I had no idea I would end up creating a series which readers would fall in love with. It was, and still is, a complete surprise. I never expected to have so many ideas for story lines and, just when I think, ‘That’s it, there can be no more…’, my over-excitable imagination soon proves me wrong. As I write this, three Lovestyle books are available to read, I’m about to commence editing Lovestyle #4 and Lovestyle #5 has also been written. Being ahead of myself with having #5 in the bag, means I am now free to work on a couple of standalone projects which I’ve been mulling over for a few years. Where I once thought I only had one book in my head, it would appear I have far more books creeping about in the old grey matter than I have the time to write.

Today, the 29th November, is a rather special day for me as this is the date when ‘A Rock ‘n’ Roll Lovestyle’ begins and, for that reason, I felt it would be the perfect occasion to announce a little project I have been working on along with a celebratory Christmas Giveaway. Commencing on Sunday, the 1st December 2019, I will be doing an Advent Calendar of Christmas Book Reviews. Twenty-four books all centered around this special time of the year and written by some of our favourite Women’s Fiction authors. There will be reviews for new books, older books and those books which we simply need to read every year to get us in the festive mood – the books which have, over time, become a part of our own little Christmas traditions. I will be releasing one review per day and, by simply liking, commenting and sharing, you will be entered into the draw to win a signed copy of all three books currently available in The Lovestyle series. If you ‘like and share’ on every review, you will have twenty-four chances of being a winner. With regret, the paperback prize can only be sent out within the UK but overseas readers are welcome to join in and will receive e-books if they are pulled out of the hat.
